"Why should we not instead of the paltry offerings we make, do something that will prove that we are in earnest in claiming to be followers of him who, though he were rich, for our sake became poor?" Lottie Moon, Tungchow, China, September 15, 1887
Living Hope is committed to promoting the Great Commission through prayer, education and giving of our time and resources and sending. The Great Commission was the last commandment from Jesus while still on earth. “All of you together are Christ’s body and each of you are a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27) We have a part in fulfilling this legacy.
Mission Activities:
Education on international missions takes place in several arenas. In the spring, Living Hope hosts an international dinner and Mission study focusing on a country or people group. Each week also a different country or people group is featured in the weekly bulletin for prayer promotion. These are compiled using the Joshua Project or Operation World websites. (see links below) We also encourage not only prayer but other practical involvement locally as well as internationally on the mission front.
Living Hope also financially supports and actively prays for several missionaries, some in sensitive situations throughout the world – Africa, South America, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.
Operation Christmas Child, a program of Samaritan’s Purse is an annual event every November.
